This document is a technical user manual. It describes how to install and configure the software and what its notification fields contain. It does not describe or recommend any trading strategy.

What Forex BvsB Zone Scanner Is

BvsB Zone Scanner is an analytical software tool that runs inside the user's own cTrader account. It monitors price data across 40+ instruments (Forex pairs, metals, energy, indices), calculates technically significant price levels from historical market structure, and notifies the user when price approaches those levels.
The software:
- calculates and displays levels and related data
- sends informational notifications in-platform and to a Telegram chat
The software does not open, modify or close positions, does not make recommendations, and does not assess whether any action is suitable for any particular user.

PART 1 - Installation on cTrader

1.1. Requirements
- cTrader Desktop - available from your broker's website or from ctrader.com
- An active demo or live account with a broker that supports cTrader
- The software file received from us (.algo) or the source file (.cs), depending on your rental plan
- A stable internet connection

Supported operating systems:

System

Status

Windows 10 / 11

Fully supported and recommended

macOS

Works — see the note in section 1.3

Linux

No cTrader Desktop build. Requires a Windows virtual machine or VPS

Account type. If you intend to hold positions in opposite directions on the same instrument at the same time, the account must be of the Hedging type rather than Netting — on a netting account opposite directions offset each other. The account type can only be changed while no positions are open.
Hardware requirements are modest, but since the software loads history for 40+ instruments we recommend at least 4 GB RAM.
Note: the software runs only in cTrader Desktop (Windows or Mac). cTrader Web and the mobile app do not support running cBots.

1.2. Saving the File
Once your rental period is activated, you will receive the file by email or via a download link. Save it somewhere easy to find, for example on your desktop.
The filename will look similar to: BvsB_ZoneScanner_[your broker].algo
Note: the software is rented, not sold. Access is valid for the duration of your rental period, and the file is licensed for your personal use only. It may not be transferred, shared or redistributed to third parties.

1.3. Placing the File

Windows:
  1. Open File Explorer
  2. In the address bar, type: %USERPROFILE%\Documents\cAlgo\Sources\Robots
  3. Press Enter
  4. Copy the file you received into this folder
If the folder does not exist, launch cTrader once - the platform will create it automatically.

macOS:
On Mac there is no need to copy the file into a folder - simply double-click the .algo file. cTrader Mac installs it automatically and confirms when done. The software will then appear in the Algo section.

For Mac users: the compiler built into cTrader Mac is intended for relatively simple algorithms. More advanced ones require the free .NET SDK (from microsoft.com) and switching the compiler in the cTrader Algo settings. If the software fails to build on Mac, check this first.

1.4. Activation

  1. Open cTrader Desktop
  2. Select the Automate tab (Mac: Algo)
  3. In the cBots list, locate BvsB Zone Scanner
  4. If the file is in .cs format, press Build and wait for confirmation with no errors
If it does not appear: close and reopen cTrader; check that the file sits directly in the Robots folder, not in a subfolder.

1.5. Adding It to a Chart

  1. Open any chart (for example EURUSD)
  2. Set the timeframe to Daily (D1)
  3. In the Automate tab, click the name → Add
  4. The parameter window will open
Important: the software monitors the full instrument list regardless of which chart is open. One running instance is enough. Several instances at once will produce duplicate notifications.

1.6. Core Parameters

For the first run, the default values are sufficient.

Parameter

  1. In Telegram search, find @userinfobot
  2. Press Start
  3. The bot replies with your ID, for example: Id: 482910355
Alternative method:

  5. Press Play (▶) bot

2.6. Verifying the Connection

After starting, the software sends a confirmation message buy the button - Test Telegram :

BvsB Zone Scanner ICMarkets TEST | Telegram connection working! | Time: 2026-07-24 06:57 UTC | Instrument: EURJPY

If the message arrives, the connection works. If not, see Part 4.

PART 3 - What the Notification Fields Contain

This section explains what each field contains technically. It contains no instructions on how to act and recommends no action.

3.1. Notification Structure

🔴 SELL DE40 | D1sw High | Level: 24798.600 | Price: 24921.650 | REV BUY STOP: 25008.237 | TP: 24748.476 | RR: 2.0 | 2026-07-23 07:11 UTC

🟢 BUY USDCHF | 6M High | Level: 0.81395 | Price: 0.81659 | REV SELL STOP: 0.81033 | TP: 0.82600 | RR: 1.5 | 2026-07-23 11:42 UTC

3.2. Field Reference

Field

What it contains

🟢 BUY / 🔴 SELL

The direction the algorithm calculated for that level

Instrument

The symbol on which the criteria were met

Level type

Which historical structural level triggered the notification — D1sw (daily swing), 1M (monthly), 6M (six-month), 10Y (ten-year). High = highest point, Low = lowest

Level

The calculated level price

Price

Market price at the moment the notification was generated

REV BUY / SELL STOP

A price calculated on the opposite side of the level. The software only calculates and displays this level; it takes no action with it

TP

A calculated target level for the first direction

RR

The numerical ratio between the distance to TP and the distance to the REV level. This is a geometric calculation, not a forecast or a promise

Time

Notification generation time in UTC

These fields are the output of calculations on historical price data. They take no account of the user's account size, experience, risk tolerance or financial objectives. The software does not specify position size and does not assess whether any action is suitable for any particular user.

3.3. Other Message Types

Cancelled notification

🚫 CANCELLED Sell DE40 Bounce | Level=24798.60000 |
Reason: price moved 1.001% (> 1.000%) | 2026-07-23 08:20 UTC

The calculation no longer meets the original criteria. Common reasons:
- price moved X% - price has moved further from the level than the configured threshold
- not opened Xh - the configured time limit has elapsed

Outcome message

✅ CLOSED Buy USDCHF | PL=612.52USD 48.9p | Entry=0.81197 | 2026-07-23 11:41 UTC
❌ CLOSED Buy XAUUSD | PL=-3313.61USD -3289.0p|Entry=4117.95000|2026-07-23 12:12 UTC

This is the software's internal calculation statistics - the system tracks how price developed after each notification and records a theoretical result.

Important: these figures are a theoretical calculation, not real trades, and not your account result. Past or theoretical results are not indicative of future results. A real result would differ due to entry timing, position size, broker spread, commissions, swap charges and the user's own decisions.

Connection test
  1. Confirmation that the bot is correctly connected. Sent when the software starts.

3.4. What the Software Does Not Do

- It does not open, modify or close positions
- It does not see, monitor or cancel pending orders created by the user
- It has no access to your order functions or account funds
- It does not specify position size, risk limits or capital allocation
- It makes no recommendations and does not assess suitability for any particular user
- It guarantees no outcome

How - and whether - to use the information the software calculates is entirely the user's decision.
PART 4 - Common Issues

Issue

Solution

Software does not appear in the Automate list

Check that the file is in Documents\cAlgo\Sources\Robots; restart cTrader

Build error

Make sure you are using the version supplied for your broker. On Mac, check the .NET SDK

Telegram messages do not arrive

You must have pressed Start in your own bot. A bot cannot message you first

Error "chat not found"

Incorrect Chat ID. Group IDs must include the leading minus sign

Error "unauthorized"

Incorrect or revoked token. Generate a new one with BotFather

Some instruments are not monitored

Your broker does not offer them or uses different symbol names. Check the Symbols list

The software stops

Lost connection to the broker, or the computer went to sleep. See Part 5

PART 5 - Continuous Operation (VPS)

The software only runs while cTrader is open and connected to your broker. If the computer is switched off or sleeps, monitoring stops.

For uninterrupted operation we recommend a VPS (virtual server):
  • Many brokers offer a free VPS to active clients
  • Alternatively, any Windows VPS with at least 2 GB RAM will work
  • Choose one located close to your broker's servers
Installation steps on a VPS are exactly the same as above.
Support

For technical support, write to support@bvsbtrading.com and include:
  1. A screenshot of the error message
  2. A copy of the cTrader Log tab
  3. Your broker's name
  4. Your operating system (Windows or macOS)
Support covers installation, configuration and technical operation of the software. We do not discuss trading decisions and do not provide advice.
